Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Universalum Chronicles: Astral Ascendance (the "Game"), operated by Universalum Chronicles ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or playing the Game, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you are under 13 years of age, you may not use the Game. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you may only use the Game with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

• You may play as a guest without registration. Guest saves are stored locally in your browser and may be lost if you clear browser data.
• To access cloud save, leaderboards, and cross-device sync, you must register an account with a valid email address.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and current information when registering.
• You may not create more than one account per person. Duplicate accounts may be terminated.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at support@playuniversalum.com.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and play the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.

This license does not include the right to:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Game.
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Game.
• Use the Game for any commercial purpose without our written consent.
• Create derivative works based on the Game.

• All virtual items, currencies (Lumen, Astral Essence, Resonance Crystals), equipment, and characters within the Game are virtual goods with no real-world monetary value.
• We reserve the right to modify, adjust, or remove any virtual items or currencies at any time without notice or compensation.
• Virtual items are not transferable between accounts and may not be sold or traded outside the Game.
• We do not guarantee the availability of any virtual item or feature.

You agree not to:

• Cheat or exploit: Use hacks, bots, automation scripts, exploits, or any unauthorized third-party software to gain an unfair advantage.
• Disrupt the Game: Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload our servers or networks.
• Impersonate: Impersonate any person, entity, or Universalum Chronicles staff member.
• Harass: Harass, threaten, or harm other players.
• Spam: Send unsolicited messages or spam to other players.
• Illegal activity: Use the Game for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Unauthorized access: Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorized to access.
• Data mining: Scrape, mine, or harvest data from the Game without our express written consent.
• Offensive content: Use offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate usernames or content.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban without refund.

All content in the Game — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, character designs, music, sound effects, game mechanics, and software — is owned by or licensed to Universalum Chronicles and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any original content you create using in-game tools, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the Game.

By participating in leaderboards, you consent to your username and game statistics being displayed publicly. You may use a pseudonym. We reserve the right to remove any entry from leaderboards that we believe was achieved through cheating or exploitation.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the Game ceases immediately.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@playuniversalum.com.

THE GAME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE GAME WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MODIFY, SUSPEND, OR DISCONTINUE THE GAME AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE OR LIABILITY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, UNIVERSALUM CHRONICLES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE GAME, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE GAME SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $10 USD.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Universalum Chronicles and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Game, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification. Your continued use of the Game after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
